NASRI GETS 3 MATCH BAN
Samir Nasri has been banned by the French Football Federation for three matches. He has been banned due to his wayward attitude in Euro Cup 2012. In a group match against England, Nasri scored a goal. After scoring that goal, he gave an arrogant expression to the TV cameras by putting his finger on his lips as if he is saying to someone “Shut your mouth”.
After the match, he said that he had given that expression to a journalist who criticized him in one of his articles. Also, after the quarter final match of France against Spain, Nasri insulted a journalist. France was defeated in that quarter final match by Spain. Due to the ban, Nasri would not be able to play in a friendly match against Uruguay, which is going to be held next month. He would also miss the World Cup qualifier games against Finland and Belarus.
Nasri appeared before a disciplinary committee of French Football Federation. The head of the disciplinary committee, Jean Mazella, said that Nasri accepted his mistake and admitted that he should not have behaved in that manner. As per Mazella, Nasri is a young player and the young players make mistakes sometimes, but, it is very important to learn from the mistakes and not repeat the same mistake again. Nasri promised the committee that he would not behave in an undisciplined way in the future. So, the committee decided to ban him for a short period. But, Mazella said that if Nasri repeaats the same mistake again, he would be banned for much longer duration.
This is not the first time that Nasri has had a controversial issue. He has been involved in many controversies. Due to his continuous undisciplined behavior, many experts were saying that he should be banned for two years.
