French midfielder Samir Nasri is set for a new lease of life under the management of Manuel Pellegrini after a year of suffering under Roberto Mancini. Nasri was extremely relieved after the departure of Mancini, as he did not treat him well according to the player.

The 26-year-old is expected to play a key role in the city team this season. However, he is already looking forward to the future and he is keen on playing in the MLS. Nasri came to English football from French club Olympique Marseille, who he holds in the highest regard.

Nasri has revealed his desire to once again play for Marseille, but has said that it would not be possible right now because of the monetary constraints. Nasri is one of the highest earning players in the Premier league right now. He has revealed his love for the American culture, which could see him playing the MLS in a few years time. Normally, players will leave for the MLS until they are well into the 30s, but this secret desire to play in the US may see him sooner rather than later.
Nasri has also revealed that he has held talks with Pellegrini about his future at the club and he is confident about making a real impact this season.

"Clearly, economic reality stops me from thinking about playing at OM right now. In the future, I don't know yet. I would like to discover the MLS. I love American culture. I had a talk with Manuel Pellegrini. We'll see what happens. He came to me the first day and told me that he was counting on me, that I would be an important player, that I was going to play. He's just arrived and he has to get results," said Nasri to a French tabloid.
